About a dozen students who had stuck around campus during Spring Break last week had the opportunity to take part in a Q&A session with Joshua Clark, a director at California-based commercial film production company Wander Films.
Joshua toured campus with Career Development’s Jamey Hopper on Friday afternoon, then met with students in the Dub Stage, where he answered their questions and handed out his own personal advice for getting your foot in the door.
“At Wander, we look for people with technical skills, relentless drive, and top notch creativity,” said Joshua. “This person should be very personable with a go-getter attitude who wants to learn and better themselves everyday.”
Wander Films has created commercials for clients including Nintendo, TooJay’s, and Nikon. Joshua’s personal project, the short film Deerskin Lake, was screened this past weekend at the Florida Film Festival.
“I was quite impressed with the Full Sail campus,” said Joshua. “The students have an incredible opportunity if they take advantage of what the school has to offer. I was stunned when I took the tour of the backlot. It really is a dream school for filmmakers.”
