If we’re playing six degrees of separation in the entertainment industry, there’s a good chance that your favorite comedic actor has some direct link to Saturday Night Live. For the over 35 years, television audiences have caught a glimpse at the hottest up-and-coming stars performing comedy sketches live from 30 Rock in New York City.
And if you ever enjoyed an episode of the NBC show, you can thank Jan Kasoff, who worked as a cameraman on the show for 26 years. Jan won six Primetime Emmy Awards for his work on SNL, and two for sports coverage during the Olympics. He’ll be talking to students about his career, his life behind the camera, the personalities he worked with, and a number of backstage stories tonight in the Entertainment Business Auditorium at 5:00 p.m. Come prepared to laugh – and learn something, too.
