Entertainment Business graduate Shaw Miseyko proved her dedication to her entertainment career early on, earning six Course Director Awards and graduating Valedictorian of her class. Today, she’s back on campus to talk to Entertainment Business and Music Business students at 12:00 p.m. in 3C-102 (the presentation will also be available to online students in Wimba’s EB/MB Guest Speaker Virtual Classroom).
Shortly after graduation, Shaw landed an internship in Washington, D.C. with Yoshitoshi Recordings, the label started by Grammy-winning DJs Deep Dish. She was soon promoted to Project Manager for the label, and by the age of 23 became the Label Manager.
Shaw was recently sought out by electronic music producer/DJ Tiesto’s record label Musical Freedom to handle their licensing, organize their record release process, coordinate marketing and distribution, and plan events. She is currently working on Tiesto’s next album Club Life Volume Two: Miami, releasing an album for up-and-comers Dada Life, starting the Club Life station on Sirius, planning an event in Miami for UMF Weekend, and signing and releasing new music for the company.
If you want to learn more about Shaw’s career path and ask her any questions (like how she has even has the time to return to campus with a schedule like that), this is an event you won’t want to miss! See you there…
