Food trucks have been popping up all over Orlando, and now more than a dozen of the city’s best ones will congregate in one convenient place: the Full Sail Live Venue parking lot, this Sunday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Mark Baratelli, founder of local blog The Daily City, has been organizing frequent Food Truck Bazaars like this all over Orlando for more than a year, but this weekend’s fest is the first time it’s being held on Full Sail’s campus. [The first Full Sail Food Truck Bazaar was originally scheduled to happen last month but was postponed because of inclement weather brought on by Tropical Storm Debby.]
Another plus: while most of the bazaars are standing room only (unless you bring your own lawn chairs), Full Sail will be opening up the Live Venue, so you can actually enjoy your meal while sitting down – and in air conditioning. Starting at 7 p.m., the Venue will play host to the RockNRoll Chorus, a group of students from New Jersey who perform a high-energy, a capella rock show.
Seventeen trucks are scheduled to attend, including Big Wheel Provisions (locally-sourced food), Cafe Rouge (fish and chips, burgers), and the Yum Yum Cupcake Truck (that one’s self-explanatory). Most of the trucks accept credit cards, and some may even offer student discounts with your Full Sail I.D.
