Libraries aren’t typically known as the coolest spots on the average college campus, but Full Sail isn’t exactly the average college, either. After months of construction and renovation, the school recently celebrated the grand re-opening of the Full Sail Library.
Formerly referred to as the Media Center, the Library is now equipped with a new look and additional resources to benefit students, staff, and faculty. Sporting new furniture and a new design, the Library has also increased its collection of books, e-books, and audiobooks, DVDs, and Blu-ray discs.
“We hope that in creating a more welcoming atmosphere and by providing the resources that students need, we’ll be able to help make the Library a communal space for everyone at Full Sail,” said Kelly McCallister, Full Sail’s Director of Library Services, who also indicated that the Library has plans to create podcasts and hold live events in the building. “This is an entertainment school, and the Library should be just as entertaining.”
