Student Club Spotlight: Full Sail Gay Straight Alliance

The Full Sail Gay Straight Alliance, also known as LIFT, is a group of students on campus dedicated to providing education and a community for all Full Sailors, regardless of sexual orientation. The club does this through monthly meetings, socials, and community service and awareness initiatives.

“My goal for organizing the group was to create a safe and comfortable environment for students to make friends, network, and bring awareness to campus,” says Tatiana Quiroga, a Behavioral Science Course Director in the Psychology department and the club’s faculty sponsor.

Besides meeting up at the end of every month to make new friends and network, the club has recently done community service at The Center, Orlando’s Gay Lesbian Bisexual and Transgender community organization. The group plans to do more community service and is trying to organize participation in Orlando’s annual Pride Festival & Parade. If you’re interested in joining the club, send an e-mail to Tatiana at tquiroga@fullsail.com.
