Rapper Fat Trel Records in Full Sail's Audio Temple [Spotted on Campus]

Fat Trel, an artist on Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group label, was in Full Sail’s Audio Temple on Wednesday afternoon, laying down his verse for Wale’s “Clappers Remix.” The song is a remix of an original Wale track, which featured Juicy J and Nicki Minaj. The remix features appearances from both Fat Trel and 2Chainz.

Trel also contributed a verse to “Pay Back,” a song by local musicians Andrew Floyd and Marlon Ponce (and produced by Kay Ell). Both tracks were recorded by Full Sail’s Advanced Session Recording Course Director Darren Schneider. Students Dallas Anders and Charles Carr filmed the entire session and they plan to use the footage to compile a “Making Of” video.

Fat Trel became familiar with Full Sail after Recording Arts grads Travis “Tmac” McGarrigle and Tyler “T. SliZz” Slack, who have worked with him at MidEast Studios in Alexandria, Virginia, told him about the school. He decided to come in and record while he was in town before flying out later that night.
