When 2009 Recording Arts graduate Ross Lara was last on campus, he spent a week talking to students about his career in the music business and offered advice for current students looking to find their way in the industry after graduation.
And now he’s back again to catch us up to speed and speak to students who might have missed him the first time, during a presentation in the Entertainment Business Auditorium today at 1:30 p.m.
Ross has spent over a decade building his career as an artist, engineer, and chart-topping producer, and his credits speak for themselves (producer on Paul Oakenfold’s Pop Killer, mix engineer on Tron Legacy: Reconfigured, and co-producer/programmer/mixer on Britney Spears‘ “Hold It Against Me” remix by Paul Oakenfold, to name a few). Ross is also an accomplished songwriter, and has been affiliated with major labels like Warner Bros. and Universal.
Make sure that you don’t miss this one. Online students can also watch the presentation in the EB/MB Guest Speaker Virtual Classroom on Wimba.
