If you’re walking around Full Sail’s campus, it’s not uncommon to see a student playing his guitar in front of the Entertainment Business building in between classes, or another one singing the hook to her favorite song out on the backlot. A few of these students, those who have a passion for performing, did just that last week during the Student Talent Showcase in Full Sail Live.
The event – organized and produced by the Student Community Association – was originally supposed to be held during the Fifth Annual Hall of Fame Music Festival last month but was postponed due to inclement weather. A few weeks later, students were just as eager to show of their skills as they took to the stage to sing, dance, beatbox, and more.
Music Business student MarkAnthony Brown (pictured above) served as the evening’s MC, which featured performances from eleven different acts, including Creative Writing for Entertainment student Kyle D’Amico, who went by his alter ego Kosative D for his spoken word performance, and the band Planetary Funk Machine (comprised of students Bryan Dolan, Schuyler Stephens, Maxim Schiavone, and Brandon Mezanazi), who may look familiar because they also performed at last year’s Full Sail’s Got Talent event.
The Student Community Association organizes and produces several campus events throughout the year. More information about the club can be found on Connect.
