One only needs to take a quick glance at the box office to see that the 3D craze is overtaking Hollywood. And while the concept of 3D is not necessarily anything new (we all remember the cardboard glasses with the blue and red lenses, right?), technological advances have made it so filmmakers are able to reach new heights in delivering a cinematic experience in a bold new format.
Panasonic recently visited campus to showcase their new Full HD 3D Camera Recorder to students and faculty. Product Specialist/Clinician Bernie Mitchell not only highlighted the features and technology incorporated into this new filmmaking device, but also highlighted the workflow that comes along with 3D production. Panasonic is touting this breakthrough as a compact, reliable, and relatively affordable device that could very well change the way that consumers and filmmakers alike create and watch films. After finishing his presentation, Mitchell also fielded questions from the audience.
