Last week’s Trucks & Tech event at Lake Eola brought together some of Orlando’s young professionals and students for an evening of technology and social media talk – and food trucks. Full Sail was represented by Mobile Development Program Director Joe DeSetto (pictured above, right) who spoke on a panel about funding along with John Humphrey (Senior Analyst at Arsenal Venture Partners), Paul Yancich (Associate at Arsenal Venture Partners), and Blaire Martin (Director of Florida Angel Nexus).
“I thought it was a good event for the tech community,” says Joe. “It was unique in that it was outdoors and much more casual compared to some of the meet-ups that take place at offices around town.”
Other highlights of the night included a Google Glass demo, an Entrepreneur’s panel featuring Row Sham Bow CEO Philip Holt, and Startup Alley, an area where local start-ups showed off what they’ve got to offer. It was the second Trucks & Tech event of the year, so here’s to hoping these meet-ups continue in 2014.
