May Game Final Project Presentations

Three student groups from Black Box Studios presented the end results of months of designing, coding, hard work, problem-solving, and precision at the Game Project Final Presentations this month. Students, faculty, and family members gathered in the Full Sail Live Venue to check out what the students had to offer on the day before their graduation from Full Sail.

Fender Bender is an arena-based vehicular combat game that requires players to drive a vehicle through Mayhem Mountain and Chaos Cavern, as they collect weapons and power-ups they’ll need when they challenge their opponents to battle.

Office Race puts vehicles inside the cubicle block, as players maneuver through an office building and dodge obstacles like broken water fountains and dangerous copy machines.

Finally, Retirement Home Roundup puts players in the shoes of lead character Tex Rustington. Tex is tasked with the challenge of safely escorting retirement home residents onto a bus. Unfortunately, there are plenty of obstacles that pop up along the way.

The Game Project Final Project Presentations require Game Development students to come together as a team and pitch an idea for a complete game. One the idea gets approved, they team with Game Art and Recording Arts students to develop the project to its completion and present it before an audience of faculty, guests, and students.
