Full Sail recently welcomed Kenedik Design Studio founder Jeremy Kennedy to campus for the latest installment in the Designer Lecture Xperience Series (DLXS). Specializing in apparel design, publication design, art direction, illustration, and custom graphic paintings, the Orlando-based design studio has worked with a number of clients including Hurley, Vans Shoes, Relevant Magazine, and Billabong.
Kennedy spoke to a near-capacity crowd in the Entertainment Business Auditorium about his beginnings as a designer, the creative spark that inspired him to start Kenedik, and the progression of the company over the past eight years. He also offered advice for students looking to find work in the world of design, and participated in an open Q&A session with members of the audience.
DLXS is a quarterly event that brings in an assortment of design and design related industry professionals to share their knowledge and creative work with the Full Sail student body. Previous guests have included Bobby Jones (Founder/CEO of Purple, Rock, Scissors), John Deeb (owner of production company DEEB Studios), and Nick Sambrato (owner of Mama’s Sauce).
