Full Sail to Take Part in the Inaugural MolyJam Game Jam

Gamers from all over the world will be jamming this weekend in honor of legendary and eccentric British game designer Peter Molyneux, and Full Sail will be right in the middle of the action. For 48 straight hours developers, programmers, designers, animators, and general game enthusiasts will combine forces to create a video game based on concepts suggested by @PeterMolydeux, a Twitter parody of the real Molyneux. The games should definitely be interesting, seeing as how the concepts range from “half man, half tree” to “survival horror combined with bowling.”

The inaugural What Would Molydeux? Game Jam kicks off in more than 25 cities worldwide tonight at 7 p.m. and will run nonstop until 7 p.m. Sunday. Full Sail is serving as the local Orlando host, with the jamming taking place in FS3B Rooms 130 and 131.

“This is a great way for prospects of the industry to network and hone their craft,” says Game Development Course Director Steve VanZandt.

More information for interested participants can be found on the MolyJam main page and the local Facebook event page. For spectators, Steve recommends stopping by in the late afternoon or early evening, which is likely when the most action will be happening.
