First-time feature director and Full Sail Film graduate Sooney Kadouh recently returned to campus to show students his latest project, This Narrow Place. The film, which tells the story of a conflicted young Palestinian man who develops an unlikely friendship with a lonely American drug addict, was selected by the Florida Film Festival as one of the coveted American Independent Narrative Competition films.
Students and staff were able to attend a private screening of the film in the Entertainment Business Auditorium. Afterwards, Sooney and the rest of the independent film’s crew (including Post-Production Coordinator and Film/Entertainment Business grad James Godwin) and cast participated in a moderated Q&A session during which they spoke about the trials and tribulations of seeing the film to its completion. They also answered questions from the audience and offered up their insight about working within the parameters of an independent production.
