The first public screening of the documentary Goose will take place this Friday afternoon in the Full Sail Live Venue, and all faculty, staff, and students are invited to attend. The film (which had its world premiere last February on ESPN) tells the story of Reece “Goose” Tatum, a former Harlem Globetrotter and Basketball Hall of Fame inductee who overcame segregation in the 1940s to become known as one of the most influential and entertaining basketball players of all time.
The film’s producer, Mannie Jackson, will be here to screen the film and take part in a Q&A session afterward, which will be moderated by Josh Mora, Full Sail’s Sports Marketing and Media Program Director. Mannie’s career is worthy of a documentary itself: He’s also a member of the Basketball Hall of Fame (as a Harlem Globetrotter), the owner of the Harlem Globetrotters, and chairman of Boxcar Entertainment, the company that produced Goose.
After the Q&A, Manny will sign autographs in the lobby of the Full Sail Live Venue.
