Film Grad’s ‘Krass’ Screening at Florida Film Festival

Have eight minutes to spare this Friday night? Try checking out the Icelandic short film Krass, which will be making its Southeast premiere as part of the International Narrative Shorts program at the Florida Film Festival.

The comedy was written and directed by Full Sail Film graduate Tomas H. Johannesson, and is the follow up to his 2007 debut short A Helping Hand.

Krass tells the story of brothers Oli and Keli, who run their own car wash, and the trouble they get into when a menacing customer shows up with a vintage car to service. The film was shot in Tomas’s native Iceland in 2011, and has already been warmly received by other U.S. festivals, including WILLiFEST.

The International Narrative Shorts program is being held on Friday, April 20 at 7:15 p.m. at Regal Winter Park Village. An encore showing will also be held on Sunday, April 22 at 3:30 p.m. at the Enzian Theater.
