Eduardo Fierro is having a good summer. After a long and diverse career in the international film and television community, this 1998 Film program graduate was recently among eight honorees selected by the International Cinematographers Guild (ICG) for their 17th annual Emerging Cinematographer Awards.
Eduardo has been recognized for his work as cinematographer on Eleven: Twelve, a fifteen-minute short film released this spring. The project was shot in Portugal by writer/director Juan Barros, and its crew also included the talents of fellow Film grad Christian Labarta as first assistant director.
The Emerging Cinematographer Awards are open to ICG members who aren’t classified Directors of Photography, with projects limited to 30 minutes. The 17th annual ceremony will be held on September 29 at the Director’s Guild of America Theater in Los Angeles, and we’d like to send our congratulations to Eduardo on the recognition from his peers.
