Over the past month, 153 Full Sail faculty and staff members have been hard at work transforming their blank canvases (Kidrobot MUNNYWORLD toys) into robots, cartoon characters, wild animals, and other incredible and original works of art. All of the finished products (173 of them in total – some faculty created more than one piece) were on display and for sale this week during the second annual Faculty & Staff Charity Art Show.

Artists were given the choice between three different versions of Kidrobot’s soft vinyl DIY figures: Raffy the giraffe, Trikki the cat, and the Sonic the Hedgehog-resembling Foomi. From there, they had the freedom to use whatever supplies they wanted to draw, paint, sculpt, and mold their toy into a custom creation. At Tuesday night’s show in the Entertainment Business lobby, we saw toys splashed in acrylic paint, covered in glitter, and molded with Sculpey clay, among dozens of other unique elements.

More than $5,000 was raised from the sale of the toys, and all of the funds will directly benefit the Student Food Pantry, a Student Advising Resource that  provides food, snacks, and drinks to students in need.
