Boutique Print and Design Shoppe Mama Sauce Lectures at DLXS Event

There may have been a few tomato sauce enthusiasts who felt misled by last night’s guest lecture from Mama’s Sauce, a boutique print and design shoppe in Orlando – but an auditorium of delighted design students didn’t seem to mind.

Sauce owner Nick Sambrato spoke to students and faculty about the humble beginnings of the company, sharing his insight into the creative process and offering advice to hopeful students about carving out a niche in the industry after graduation. He also spoke about Mama Sauce’s commitment to using only water and soy-based inks and cleaning products as part of their operation.

This event – the latest installment in the quarterly DLXS series – also marked the one-year anniversary for the program. DLXS brings in an assortment of design and design related industry professionals to share their knowledge and creative work with the Full Sail student body. Previous guests have included Bobby Jones (Founder/CEO of Purple, Rock, Scissors), Mark Nielsen (Creative Manager for Publix Supermarkets), and Julio Lima (Creative Director/Owner of SAY IT LOUD! creative agency).
