If anyone has earned the title of “Full Sail Rock Star,” it’s Jayson Whitmore. A graduate of three different degree programs (Recording Arts, Film, and Digital Media) and an inaugural inductee into Full Sail’s Hall of Fame, Jayson has lent his motion graphics skills to Apple’s iPod nano Colors campaign and promos for ABC, Nicktoons, NASCAR, and more.
Jayson has kept a great relationship with the school since graduating in 1999, and he recently returned to let students take a look at the creative process behind his Los Angeles-based motion graphics company Royale.
He kicked off his presentation in the Entertainment Business Auditorium with Royale’s showreel – and when your clients include Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, McDonald’s, VH1, Blackberry, Diesel, Jet Blue, and Kodak, it makes for quite a riveting viewing experience.
Jayson also took students from the beginning stages to final execution of projects for McDonald’s, Fuel TV, and a music video for Black Eyed Peas member Apl.de.ap. Afterwards, he engaged in an open Q&A session with students about his career path since graduating Full Sail.
