In our latest Art of Full Sail project, Full Sail teamed up with Hard Rock International to oversee the creation of an original piece of art for the company’s “Pinktober” breast cancer awareness campaign. Nine female students from Full Sail’s Computer Animation and Game Art programs spent two days at Hard Rock’s headquarters working on the project.
“Before the project we created a closed Facebook group and posted our sketch ideas there,” said Game Art student Katt Cassidy. “Through critiques and drawing different versions of things we all agreed on what ideas we wanted to use for the project.”
The end result – made with paint, acrylic marker, and dozens of colored guitar picks – showcases empowered females around a pink ribbon standing up against breast cancer. The piece will be on display at the Hard Rock Cafe at University CityWalk in Orlando throughout the month of October. It will be auctioned for charity at a later date.
“The finished project turned out beautiful,” said Computer Animation student Reagan Renda. “My favorite part was getting to work with such wonderful people and start new friendships. It was an honor to take a break from class and give back.”
