Last month, the WWE awarded Full Sail Show Production student Felipe Giannazzo with a $10,000 scholarship. Monies for the joint WWE/Full Sail Scholarship are generated from ticket sales resulting from the WWE and Full Sail’s ongoing partnership, which sees episodes of the entertainment company’s NXT series taped in the Full Sail Live Venue each month. During these tapings, students are given the opportunity to shadow crew members during the program’s production.
Felipe was awarded the scholarship during the grand opening of the WWE’s new Performance Center, a 26,000-square foot facility that will serve as the home of the WWE’s talent developmental system. Felipe regularly shadows WWE crew members during NXT tapings at Full Sail, and he was recognized for his professionalism, academic standing, and creative talent.
The WWE’s new Performance Center, which is just around the corner from Full Sail’s Winter Park, Florida campus, has seven full-size training rings, a weight room, a sports medicine facility, and production and edit facilities. Check out a few photos from the Performance Center Grand Opening below.
