To keep up with Full Sail graduates scattered across the country, the Career Development department organizes a series of regular Alumni Networking Events. These free, laid-back evenings consist of meeting and catching up with fellow grads, industry representatives, and Career Development staff members in a social setting. The department just added three new dates to its Alumni Networking Event schedule.
Atlanta: September 18 at Vinyl | Center Stage
New York City: October 1 at Bowlmor Lanes
Fairfax, Virginia: October 18 at Capital Post Audio
While most Alumni Networking Events take place at a bar or restaurant, Career Development is teaming up with fellow Full Sail grads to begin co-hosting the events at other venues. Atlanta’s PlayPro Media, owned by Recording Arts grad Brad Todd, will co-host the Atlanta event, and Capital Audio Post, the venue for Virginia’s event, is a post-production studio owned by grads Chip Sovek and Frank Scheuring.
“Fostering a strong alumni community is important to all graduates, especially those who own businesses,” says Brad Floyd, Full Sail’s Alumni Division Manager. “The bond between alumni is vital, and we believe that when our family of graduates, students, faculty, and staff work together we all benefit and experience great things.”
To attend, guests must RSVP on the Full Sail Alumni Network’s EventBrite page. Each alum is invited to bring a guest with them to the event.
