The Florida Film Festival is coming to campus tomorrow afternoon for a special forum and screening of the Red Bull Media House film, The Art of FLIGHT.
The film – by Red Bull Media House in association with Brain Farm Digital Cinema – follows legendary snowboarder Travis Rice (he’s Snowboarder magazine’s 2012 Rider of the Year) and other top riders as they explore some of the world’s most challenging mountains to bring the extreme sport of snowboarding to new heights. Filmed using unique and ultra high-definition camera equipment (including a Phantom and a Cineflex), the cinematography in The Art of FLIGHT is stunning and is complemented by a high-energy soundtrack – most of which was scored and digitally mastered by director Curt Morgan himself.
The free screening is part of the Florida Film Festival and is open to the public. It will start at 1 p.m. in Full Sail Live 1, located off of Forsyth Road. Immediately after, faculty members from the Film department will host a discussion and Q&A session covering action sports film production and cinematography.
