This Weekend at the Florida Film Festival: Captain Fin & Soup

The Florida Film Festival comes to a close this weekend, but not before two short films created by our very own Full Sailors are featured.

Captain Fin is about an 18-year old girl who discovers that her father has been in prison for years, so she goes to visit him to rekindle their relationship. Twelve Full Sail faculty members worked on the film’s crew, including writer, co-producer, and director Kevin O’Neill (Directing Lab Specialist) and co-producer Rob Tuscani (Lighting Course Director). Full Sail grad Mark Wright wrote and directed Soup, a documentary about The Daily Bread Soup Kitchen in Melbourne, Florida, while he was still a student in the school’s Film program.

They’re both playing tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. during the “Florida Shorts: The Best of Brouhaha” showcase at the Regal Winter Park Village. Tickets are available for $10 and you can purchase them at the box office or through floridafilmfestival.com.
