Besides a couple of GPS Workshops and some guest speakers from around the industry, this week we’re commemorating Veterans Day and celebrating some of our most talented students during the annual Full Sail’s Got Talent competition. Check below for all of the details on what’s happening on campus (and online) this week.

Monday:

Tuesday:

  • James Shinault, the Director of Event Engagements at AC Entertainment (they organize the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival) will speak to students about his career in the music industry. More details. (RSVP)
  • Learn about the world of publishing and get tips for submitting a manuscript during the Overview of Book Publishing GPS Workshop. More details. (RSVP)
  • Creative Writing for Entertainment faculty members will share some of their best advice during the Creative Writing Tips & Tricks GPS Workshop. More details. (RSVP)
  • Check out 12-piece cover band DXP Dance Express during this month’s Show Production Final Project Concert. More details. (RSVP)

Wednesday:

  • Students will compete to be crowned the winner of the annual Full Sail’s Got Talent competition tonight in the Full Sail Live Venue. More details. (RSVP)
  • The latest Digital Arts & Design‘s HUB Gallery exhibition opens with a reception and awards presentation in the Building 2 Lobby. More details. (RSVP)

Thursday:

  • Students interested in getting involved with Full Sail’s Artist Relations Department should attend this information session. It will also be live streamed for online students. More details. (RSVP)

Friday:

  • This month’s Entertainment Business/Music Business Graduate Spotlight features grad Paul Garner, who manages the Smoky Mountain Center for the Performing Arts. This event will also be live streamed for online students. More details. (RSVP) 
  • Katherine Keenan of Red Frog Events will talk to students about internship and job opportunities with the Chicago-based company. More details. (RSVP)
  • Learn more about Full Sail’s new chapter of the Collegiate DECA business competition club during this informational session. This event will also be live streamed for online students. More details. (RSVP)

Saturday:

  • A limited amount of students can attend the ALPFA Leadership & Professional Development Summit, being held in Full Sail Live. More details. (RSVP)
