The next installments of two popular film franchises both hit theaters today – the The Hangover Part III and Fast & Furious 6 – and Full Sail graduates are credited on both of the projects.

Fast & Furious 6 is the sixth film in the popular Fast & Furious action franchise, and it’s the first time since the third installment that both of the film’s original stars – Paul Walker and Vin Diesel – are involved. Christian Labarta, a 1999 Film grad, worked on the film’s Los Angeles set as a Key Set Production Assistant. Christian tells us he was part of the Assistant Director’s team, working as an additional photographer during the action sequences that were filmed at Universal Studios.

Another grad credit on Fast & Furious 6 belongs to 2008 Computer Animation grad ZhuoTao Zhang, who worked as a match move artist on a few interior car shot scenes while at visual effects company Pixomondo.

“The interesting thing with these shots [that feature the actors having conversations inside of the car] is that they are actually sitting inside half of a prop car and they’re shooting in front of a green screen,” says ZhuoTao. “Everything else is digitally added to the shot.”

The Hangover Part III stars Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, and Zach Galifianakis as the Wolfpack on yet another crazy adventure in Las Vegas. Full Sail 2011 Film graduate Mark Wright worked on the film as a Visual Effects Editor.

While this is the finale of The Hangover franchise, Universal Pictures has already announced that a seventh “Fast & Furious” film is planned for next summer.

I love the two movies and watch all the episodes. Fast & Furious I can see impossible drive and rare car in the movie. When I am nervous I watch The Hangover, it can make me feel better, it is a very crazy movie.
