Students and Alumni Gear Up for International Education Week

International Education Week is an opportunity for students and grads from different nationalities and cultures to gather and celebrate on campus. The five-day event will include networking and social activities, along with panels hosted by international graduates.

The event will kick off on Monday with a Networking Summit, which is a monthly campus gathering hosted by the Student Community Association. The International Student Society will have a table at the Networking Summit to promote International Education Week. Vendors from local retailers attend the gathering every month with special offers for students and free giveaways. Here’s a look at what you can expect during the week:

Monday, November 14, 2016:

SCA Networking Summit: 6:00pm – 8:00pm – Full Sail Live

Tuesday, November 15, 2016: 

ISS Cultural Fair:  4:00pm – 6:00pm – FS4E Atrium

Wednesday, November, 16, 2016: 

International Orientation: 5:00pm – 6:30pm FS3B-106

International Grad Panel: 7:00pm – 9:00pm — FS3B-106

Thursday, November 17, 2016:

ISS Thanksgiving Dinner:  5:00pm – 8:00pm – Amsterdam , Backlot

Friday, November 18, 2016:

International Talent Festival: 6:30pm – 9:00pm – FS4E Treehouse

Christa Evans, the International Student Coordinator, along with various members of the International Admissions Department help organize and execute the event.

“International Education Week provides a great opportunity for staff and students to celebrate the unique diversity of culture and talent on our campus,” said Evans.  “In our efforts to help internationalize our community, International Education Week is quickly becoming a significant period of collective creativity and inspiration for everyone who gets involved.”
