Student Gets Surprised with Scholarship During MLG Fall Invitational [Photos]

On Saturday night Full Sail student Jehanlos Roman thought he was just going to check out some Call of Duty: Black Ops II action during the Major League Gaming Fall Invitational … that is until MLG Vice President of Programming Chris Puckett sat down next to him with a microphone. A few minutes later, in front of the packed crowd, Jehanlos was awarded a $10,000 Major League Gaming Scholarship. The Game Development student – who was completely shocked – was recognized for his academic standing, exceptional professionalism, and outstanding performance.

Team Dignitas also earned a bid to compete in the Dota 2 International Tournament, to be held November 22-24 in Columbus, Ohio.

Full Sail students and gaming fans were in and out of the Live Venue all day Friday and Saturday, watching live head-to-head match ups, drinking free Dr. Pepper, and meeting the gamers during various autograph sessions. On Friday morning before the tournament kicked off, a few students were even treated to a guest presentation from Major League Gaming co-founder Sundance DiGiovanni.
