Student Community Association Launches 'The Navigator'

The goal of Full Sail’s Student Community Association is to make sure all students know how to become more involved on campus. One way they’re continuing to do this is with the launch of the new online magazine, The Navigator. First published last November, the magazine aims to showcase Full Sail’s roster of on campus and online clubs and help students find one that is the right fit for them. Dubbed “For Students, By Students,” The Navigator will publish event recaps and previews from Full Sail’s 21 official registered student clubs.

“Although a majority of our faculty, staff, and students are aware of the many clubs that exist (on campus and online) through Connect, they may not always know what’s going on,” says Jessica Henlon, Full Sail’s Director of Student Advisors. “By having The Navigator highlight these clubs, our sense of community and awareness is enhanced.”

The second issue was released in January, and featured recaps of the recent C-Force concert performance (sponsored by the International Student Society), last Fall’s Full Sail’s Got Talent competition (sponsored by the Student Community Association), Pure Motivation’s volunteer trip to the Big Cat Rescue, and more. Future issues will also highlight upcoming events and include puzzles and brain teasers, too.

The magazine is being produced by the Student Community Association Executive Leadership Team and a group of work study students. To download issues of The Navigator, visit the Facebook Fan page.
