Successful careers in entertainment seem to have certain moments of effort and inspiration that help a person reach new milestones, whether it’s aligning yourself with the right professionals, or making a strong impression at a pivotal time.
Television and Broadway star Paige Davis came to campus this week to share her own unique journey with students – breaking down how the right attitude and people skills have helped her open new opportunities and evolve as a creative. She also took questions and offered advice on how to get noticed and make personal bonds with those who can help you get where you want to be.
Davis is probably best known for her hosting work on the TLC hit Trading Spaces, which launched her into the public space in 2001. She has continued to diversify over the past decade with starring roles in the Broadway musicals Beauty and the Beast, Chicago and Boeing-Boeing, as well as her current television gig as host of Home Made Simple on the Oprah Winfrey Network.
