Recording Arts Students Record Veara In-Store Performance at Park Ave CDs

Most in-store performances hosted at Park Ave CDs tend to be acoustic, revealing a softer and more nuanced side of the nationally touring acts that grace the stage at the local independent record store.

Not so much for Veara. The pop-punk quartet (recently signed to Epitaph Records in partnership with Running Man Records) delivered an electric, full-band performance for fans and shoppers alike, cranking out a handful of songs from their albumWhat We Left Behind before playing downtown later that night. Three Recording Arts students ran sound for the event and recorded the upbeat performance.

In-store performances are some of Park Ave CDs’ most popular events, and Full Sail students have been on-hand to run sound for bands like Brand New, Less Than Jake, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and more. Some of the show recordings have even been nationally released, including titles from Snow Patrol, Porcupine Tree, Jose Gonzalez, and Gaslight Anthem.
