Photos: Full Sail Takes Over the Orlando Museum of Art

We ventured off campus last week for First Thursdays at the Orlando Museum of Art, a monthly celebration of local art, food, and music. Last week’s theme was “Full Sail Night,” so it was only appropriate that all of the work on display was created solely by Full Sail faculty, staff, and students. A total of 103 pieces were featured, the largest amount of work for any First Thursday event thus far.

“The quality of art was fantastic,” said Bill Galbreath, Full Sail’s Design & Technology Education Director. “I think that the passion and commitment of Full Sail really showed through in a big way.”

We mingled with the crowd, hung out with the faculty members and students standing proudly next to their work (“I was a little nervous about showing my work for the first time, but it was a lot of fun!” said Entertainment Business Department Chair Heather Torres), ate a gourmet grilled cheese sandwich from the Sleeping Moon Cafe booth, and enjoyed some live music from the Cornucopia Jazz Project. In between all of that, we managed to snap a few photos as well. Check them out in the gallery below.
