You’d be hard-pressed to find anyone under the age of 30 who doesn’t have at least one fond memory of Nickelodeon from their childhood. And while the kids television station has aired a variety of shows in their 30+ years, the animated programs produced by Nickelodeon Animated Studios (also known as Nicktoons Studios) have been some of the most beloved shows to grace the TV screen. From classics like Doug, Rugrats, and The Ren and Stimpy Show to more recent programs such as The Penguins of Madagascar and Tak and the Power of Juju, the studio’s production list speaks for itself.
So there was definitely some excitement in the air when Full Sail recently welcomed three Nickelodeon Animation Studios representatives to campus to talk to students about career opportunities after graduation. Freddie Vaziri (VFX Supervisor), Josilin Torrano (Recruiter), and Ashley Morley (Internship Coordinator) all presented to students in the Entertainment Business Auditorium, discussing what it’s like to work at Nickelodeon.
Torrano and Morley also gave their insight about getting a foot in the door at the studio, and offered up advice regarding the internship program that the company utilizes. Afterwards, the speakers also took questions from the audience.
