Full Sail’s 4th Annual Hall of Fame Celebration starts next Wednesday, kicking off four days of special events, guest speaker sessions, concerts, and more. We’ve already announced several of the Full Sail Hall of Fame grads and notable guests that will be visiting next week, but as the schedule continues to be finalized, we have a few more ‘Just Announced’ details to add:
Universal Republic Records recording artist Mat Kearney will perform a free concert in the Full Sail Live Venue on Saturday, February 16. The Nashville-based singer/songwriter has released three full-length studio albums, has had four singles in the Billboard Top 20, and has toured with artists including John Mayer, Keane, and The Fray. 2012 Hall of Fame inductee Chance Glasco and 2011 inductee Jameson Durall will discuss how students can build a great career in gaming. Chance is an animator at Infinity Ward, the studio behind the popular Call of Duty series, and Jameson is a Design Director at Volition. Combined, the two have helped create some of the industry’s most exciting games, including Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Red Faction: Armageddon, and more. More details.
Debbie Wilson and Doug Shaw of Wilspro Management (they manage Marc Broussard, who’s performing a free and open-to-the-public concert in Full Sail Live on Feb. 14) will discuss the artist management experience and talk about how they nail down sponsorships and licensing agreements for their roster of musicians. Full Sail 2010 Hall of Fame inductee Leslie Brathwaite will discuss his path into the world of studio recording and will share samples of his own mixes. Leslie has won multiple GRAMMY awards and has worked with hundreds of artists, including TLC, Outkast, and Lil Wayne. More details.
