While students were away for Spring Break, Full Sail faculty and staff members took part in a few days of Continuing Education events, a series of fun and informative lectures led by their peers. One of those events gave 30 staff and faculty members the opportunity to create their own custom Kidrobot toy during a hands-on art workshop. The participants drafted, designed, and painted their toys under the guidance of Tony Shiau, the co-founder of character design and illustration company MaiHiro, and a staff member at Full Sail. Shiau – who creates his vinyl toys under the alias Nakanari –inspired and helped participants get in touch with their creative side during the two-hour-long workshop.

“I want people to know they can do whatever they want; that they can follow their dreams,” said Tony, who considers himself an example of how passion can drive you to do what you love.

Each staff and faculty member who participated received their own Kidrobot Munny model to customize and take home with them.
