Get ready for Day 3 of Full Sail’s Hall of Fame! Take advantage of all the great opportunities to get an insider’s view of the recording, film, television, game, live sound and marketing industries from our amazing Hall of Fame grads. Here’s what you need to know:

9:30 a.m. – 11:00 – Troy DeVolld discusses his new book, “Reality TV: An Insider’s Guide to Television’s Hottest Market” (Entertainment Business Auditorium) Join 2010 Hall of Fame Inductee Troy DeVolld as he discusses the new book, Reality TV: An Insider’s Guide to Television’s Hottest Market.

10:00 a.m. – 11:30 p.m. – Music Business 3.0: Leave Your Record Label at the Door (FS3B-131) This panel discussion explores the emerging, innovative, and dynamic environment of the new music industry, where technology empowers artists and those that work with them to seamlessly create, promote, distribute, and monetize connections with fans. Speakers include Kim Craft, Brandon Egerton, Jackie Otero, Bill Thompson, and Israel Vasquetelle.

 

10:00 – 11:30 a.m. – My Career on Tour and in the Studio, with Sean Spuehler (FS3B-113) Join 2011 Hall of Fame Inductee Sean Spuehler as he explores his multi-faceted career in the music industry. He will share his experiences and creativity in composing, recording engineering, and monitor mixing.

 

1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. – A Live Mix Demo in the Audio Temple with Leslie Brathwaite (Full Sail Live Venue) Don’t miss 2009 Hall of Fame Inductee Leslie Brathwaite as he mixes a multi-track recording in real time. He will share tips from his years of experience at the console.

1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. – Transmedia in the New Age of Branding (FS3B-131) With the emergence of the social and mobile markets, the need for a continuous story line across all media is as important as ever. The Faculty Panel will discuss how design and storytelling is used across print, web, film, television and gaming media. Speakers include Laura Biase, Chris Burke, Triesta Hall, and Ricky Neath.

 

2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. – The Role of a Monitor Engineer, with Martin “Tike” Santos (Full Sail Live – Forsyth) Full Sail is excited to welcome back to campus Martin “Tike” Santos. A 2010 Hall of Fame Inductee, Tike will share his experiences as a Monitor Engineer for acts such as Paul McCartney and Peter Frampton.

 

2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. – The Fusion of Sound Design and Re-Recording Mixing, with David Farmer and Marc Fishman (Entertainment Business Auditorium) Join 2011 Hall of Fame Inductee David Farmer and 2010 Hall of Fame Inductee Marc Fishman as they examine the relationship between the sound designer and the re-recording mixer.

 

3:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. – Where the Gaming Industry is Headed, with Jameson Durall (FS3B-113) Today, video games are available on smartphones, handheld devices, and on social media platforms, with a cost to players ranging from free to just a few dollars. Jameson Durall and Full Sail’s Game faculty will explore this new and very different monetization paradigm for games, explaining why development was a sprint in the past and how today it’s a marathon. Guests include Jameson Durall, Patrick Kelly, Rob Moye, and Roy Papp.
