We know, we know…you’re probably still trying to process all of the great events that went down yesterday for the kickoff to Hall of Fame week. Well, Day 2 is upon us and there are even MORE awesome panels, presentations, and events taking place. Here’s what you need to know:

9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.- Oscar-Winning Re-Recording Mixer: Gary Rizzo (FS3B Auditorium)

Join 2009 Hall of Fame Inductee Gary Rizzo as he discusses his journey from Full Sail University graduate to 2011 Oscar-winning re-recording mixer. ALL STUDENTS WELCOME

 

10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.Saints Row: The Third Game Development Volition Panel (Full Sail Live Venue)

Full Sail is pleased to welcome back to campus 12 graduates as they discuss their involvement in the development of the game Saints Row: The Third. This game, which will be released on November 15th, 2011, focuses on the story of the gang war between the Saints and a rival criminal group. Guests on this panel include:

2011 Hall of Fame Inductee Culley Bunker will discuss the visual effects industry and how it works within the creation of music videos and films.

 

10:00 a.m.- 11:30 a.m.The Business of Documentary Filmmaking (FS3B 113)

Chase Heavener graduated from Full Sail’s Digital Media program and is the President of Fiction, a Winter Park–based production company. Chase will be on hand to discuss documentary filmmaking, the business behind production, and the pipeline that takes ideas from creation to production and post.

 

10:00 a.m.- 12:30 p.m.“Ok, Ask Me Your Questions” (Full Sail Live- Forsyth)

Artist, actor, and director Tom Savini will be visiting Full Sail University to answer all your questions about production techniques and film business strategies.

 

1:00 p.m.- 2:30 p.m.Framestore: Europe’s Largest Visual Effects Company (FS3B Auditorium)

2011 Hall of Fame Inductee Laurie Brugger will be discussing her experience with Framestore, a British Oscar-winning visual effects company based in London. Her topics will include Visual Effects and Character Production and she will be screening a Framestore Animation Reel.

1:00 p.m.- 2:30 p.m.A Conversation with Grammy-Winning Engineer, Leslie Brathwaite (FS3B 113)

Join 2009 Hall of Fame Inductee Leslie Brathwaite as he shares his insight into the art of mixing.

 

1:00 p.m.- 2:30 p.m.The Internet’s Impact on Film and Television (FS3B 131)

In this 90-minute discussion, panelists Troy DeVolld (2010 Hall of Fame Inductee), Elizabeth Neff, and Eric Saperstein will review the enormous impact the Internet has had on the film and television industries and the drastic changes in the creation, distribution, production, marketing, and viewing habits that have occurred in these two fields. Panelists will discuss current trends—from the multimillion- dollar marketing plans of Hollywood blockbusters to the Twitter hashtags appearing on reality television shows— followed by audience Q&A.

 

1:00 p.m.- 2:30 p.m.Performance and Q&A Session with Jeremy Ellis (Walkway Entertainment)

A true phenomenon, Detroit-born Jeremy Ellis manipulates music in a live programming experience. Witness his fiercely quick fingers brutally attack drum machines and seductively coax keyboards in a freestyle fusion of innovations from house to classic breaks, uptempo latin to deep hip-hop.

 

3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.Audio Production Advisory Panel (Full Sail Live Forsyth)

Hall of Fame Inductees Marc Fishman, Martin “Tike” Santos, Sean Spuehler, and Grammy-winning engineer/producer Bruce Swedien will be discussing their careers and insight about the direction that the music industry is moving in. The panel will also be answering questions for an audience Q&A.
