Full Sail recently welcomed new media marketing expert C.C. Chapman to campus to share his insight with students and faculty members. The founder of website DigitalDads.com, Chapman is currently on the road promoting his new book Content Rules: How to Create Killer Blogs, Podcasts, Videos, Ebooks, and Webinars (and more) that Engage Customers and Ignite Your Business.
As one might be able to guess from reading his book’s lengthy title, Chapman has a lot to say about connecting with audiences and delivering a message or brand via the various channels available online. In addition to DigitalDads.com, Chapman also has a long-running podcasts aimed at marketers called Managing the Gray, and has developed marketing strategies and campaigns for companies such as American Eagle Outfitters, HBO, Sony Electronics, and Coca-Cola Company.
Speaking before an audience in the Entertainment Business Auditorium, Chapman outlined the highlights of his book and spoke about unique ways to grab an audience’s attention while engaging them with original and creative content. His lecture – which was also broadcast live online for online students – also included an open Q&A session with members of the audience as well as online through Facebook, Twitter, and LiveStream.
