Full Sail is proud to return as a sponsor of the Vans Warped Tour presented by Journeys. 2014 marks the 20th anniversary of the legendary music festival, and the third year of The Acoustic Basement presented by Full Sail University.

The Acoustic Basement presented by Full Sail University includes a fully tented stage for acoustic acts to perform in a more intimate setting, allowing attendees a more up-close and personal experience. Throughout the summer, various solo artists and bands from genres including indie, punk, and folk will rotate on the stage’s schedule. Current scheduled performers include: Anthony Raneri (Bayside)Nick Santino (ARTTM)Front Porch StepBrian MarquisMike Herrera (MxPx), and many more.

In addition to presenting the Acoustic Basement stage, four recent Full Sail graduates will have the opportunity to work as interns for the duration of the tour. These coveted internship positions range from managing production office needs, helping to set up the stage and run its sound board, creating blog content that will appear on the official Vans Warped Tour blog site, and creating materials utilizing graphic design skills to support the tour’s well-known brand.

“The internship opportunities that our graduates participate in throughout the Vans Warped Tour provide valuable hands-on experience,” said Dana Roun, Director of Audio Programs at Full Sail University. “We congratulate Vans Warped Tour on its 20th anniversary, and we are grateful for the relationship that allows our alumni to work with this world-renowned tour.”

The 20th Annual Vans Warped Tour kicks off on June 13 in Houston, Texas, and ends on August 3 in Denver, Colorado. Full Sail’s one-of-a-kind 75 foot truck and trailer mobile exhibit, “Full Sail Presents: A Real World Education Experience Powered by Sony 4K,” will join the tour during select dates. The university will also provide an on-site presence at each tour stop that will allow visitors to mix in real time using a Raven MTX touch screen console, play student created games through retro arcade gaming stations, and participate in autograph signings with the Florida-based rock band, Mayday Parade. For photos, videos, and updates from the Acoustic Basement throughout the summer, be sure to like Full Sail on Facebook.
