The 2012 Summer Olympic Games kick off from London this Friday night, and to commemorate the event, Full Sail will be celebrating over the course of the next few weeks with an international fair, concert, video game tournament, and more.

“We want this celebration to spotlight our on-campus international community,” says Tereza Vieira, the English as a Second Language Program Manager. “The Olympics are one of the greatest cultural events of our time.”

On the agenda: an Opening Ceremony party in Full Sail Live 1, International Food & Vendor Fair (with food from local restaurants and guests from ESPN International, EA Sports, and more), video game tournament, a concert featuring student musicians and local performance troupes, and Olympic-related guest speakers. More information on each event can be found on the Blog Calendar.

Full Sail has a handful of grads involved with the production of the Olympics, including Juan Pablo Canizares and Joseph Lede, who are working in London with the Olympic Broadcasting Services, and Jonathan Croskrey, who is assisting with the broadcast as a consultant for NBC in Los Angeles.
