Full Sail Recording Arts students were called upon to help record the latest in-store performance at local record store Park Ave CDs. The Wood Brothers – featuring siblings Chris and Oliver Wood (the former a founding member of jazz trio/jam-band festival staple Medeski Martin & Wood) – graced the stage for fans before performing later that night at the Plaza Live.

Backed by drummer Tyler Greenwell, the band played through a short set of Americana and folk tunes, including songs from their 2011 album Smoke Ring Halo. The Recording Arts students ran sound for the event and recorded the performance.

In-store performances are some of Park Ave CDs’ most popular events, and Full Sail students have been there to run sound for bands such like Frank Turner, Less Than Jake, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Little Dragon, and more. A few of the recorded shows have even seen a national release, including titles from Snow Patrol, Porcupine Tree, Jose Gonzalez, and Gaslight Anthem.
