Full Sail students get an inside look at the gaming industry through the lens of booming game studio Riot Games

Full Sail’s Career Development Department recently gave students the opportunity to learn more about careers in the gaming industry during a visit from game studio Riot Games. Founded in 2006, Riot Games made its first dent in the gaming industry with the release of the stand-alone Dota game League of Legends.

During a presentation in the Entertainment Business Auditorium, Riot Senior Producer Steve Snow and Producer Travis George spoke to students about a variety of topics, including what their approach to game production is like, how placing a particular focus on community has benefited both Riot and their League of Legendstitle, and what it’s like to work in the gaming industry. The Riot representatives also offered up advice to students about what employers look for when combing through resumes, and answered questions from students during an open Q&A session at the end of his lecture.
