How often does a student get to perform heroic deeds in between classes? Well, unless we’re counting any of the scenes in the Spider-Man movies where Peter Parker has to run off in the middle of his day to don a mask and shoot webs at bad guys, the answer is “not too often”.
All Spidey-isms aside, Full Sail students recently got a chance to be heroes, thanks to a visit from Florida’s Blood Centers. FBC returned to campus for their monthly blood drive. With buses outside of Buildings 1, 3, and 4, the blood drive offered students two days to donate blood to help save lives.
As if that good deed wasn’t enough incentive, all donators also received GPS credit, a free t-shirt, and a free mini-physical (testing cholesterol, blood type, and blood pressure). Which is a lot more than Spider-Man receives when he saves the day.
