Orlando is increasingly being recognized as a hub for cutting edge digital media, simulation, and entertainment technologies across the globe. Full Sail hosted the Digital Orlando conference this year, which brought together some of the best and brightest in the industry. The event was hosted by OrlandoiX, a three day convention that occurs in the fall and features industry keynotes, speaker sessions, interactive exhibits, networking opportunities, and more.

David Glass, Creator and Executive Producer of OrlandoiX, partnered with Full Sail for this event because of its strengths in this field. "When you think about digital media, virtual reality, simulation, and audio and visual [technologies], you want to be in a place that creates that and has that environment. Full Sail just lends itself really well to bringing folks in our industry here on campus for an industry event related program," said David.

The day's topics were primarily focused on how to get involved with a local community tech initiate, the impact of virtual reality in Orlando, and the future and growth of Orlando’s tech industry. Attendees included leaders from across EA Sports, NBC Universal and all the way down to local community organizers. The event was a great opportunity for members of this expansive community to gather and talk about trends, strategies, and growth in the industry.
