Film Grad Seeks Editors at his Post-production Company

Starting your own business is a dream for a lot of artists, and after years working as a freelance editor, Marcus Small has launched his own Orlando-based post production company, Domino Effect Productions. The studio specializes in music videos, commercials, and television work, and their clients have included Rick Ross, Trina, Ciroc Vodka, and the Orlando Magic.

“I worked with a lot of different production companies starting out, and saw their strengths and weaknesses, and just decided to take what I learned and step out on my own,” he says. “I’m very confident in myself, and my work just seems to travel. I’ll get a random email or call from a company, saying ‘Hey, we’ve seen what you’ve done, can you come in and talk to us?’”

The quality of that work has led to Marcus recently landing high profile projects like the Flo-Rida and T-Pain video “Zoosk Girl”, the reality series *NYC Wizards* for MTV2, and the upcoming film The Broken Path, which will mark his first credit on a feature. With so much going on, he’s been in touch with Full Sail’s alumni department to recruit recent Film graduates for the slate of projects.

“I like working with new graduates because they’re still humble and eager to learn, so if anyone wants to contact me, I’d love it,” he says. “I love to help share what I’ve learned and help train the next editors. You never know how you can impact somebody’s life, because I know that’s how it happened for me.”

Marcus stresses the importance of “aligning yourself with the right people in the industry,” and to inquire about open positions at Domino Effects, you can contact him at:
