Film Fridays: “Billy”
Billy, which premiered at the September 2010 GradFest, is about a young couple coping with the loss of their son. It’s dark, but the student crew did a great job of mixing the somber moments with happier flashbacks. They used a handheld Arri LT Camera, Kodak Ektachrome 35mm film, and post-processing work in After Effects to make the flashback scenes in the film appear like home video footage. Check it out below:
