Fifth Annual Hall of Fame: Day One Preview

Industry Leaders, VIPs & Celebrity Guests at Full Sail Hall of Fame

We’re excited that Full Sail’s Fifth Annual Hall of Fame Week kicks off first thing tomorrow morning. Dozens of industry guests, current and former Hall of Fame Inductees, Full Sail alumni, and talented musicians will all be taking part in the three-day celebration. Wednesday will feature nearly two dozen industry panels and hours of musical performances on the backlot, along with all of the other activity that will be happening around campus. Here’s a look at what you can expect during Day One:

  • Faculty members and grads will offer tips and tricks on how to harness the power of the Internet to your benefit in “ How to Create a Powerful Personal Brand.”
  • “The Realities of Life in Game Development” will feature a panel of grads working at studios like EA Tiburon, Volition, and more.
  • 2011 Hall of Fame inductee Laurie Brugger will talk about how she helped create the realistic visuals that appeared in the Oscar-nominated film Gravity.
  • A group of local music venue bookers and owners will talk about their work during “Behind the Scenes: Booking and Promoting Concerts.”
  • “The Rolling Stones’ Gear from Stage to Studio” will feature a discussion with music store owner and author Andy Babiuk, who just wrote a book about the guitars, amps, and more that went into crafting the Stones’ signature hits.
  • Meet and Greets on the Backlot featuring 2013 Hall of Fame Inductees Kim Alpert, Leon Hopkins, Larry Katz, and Demo Castellon, and special guests Andy Babiuk and Troy DeVolld.

NOTE: Students should line up for each of the panels via the Backlot, not through the EB Lobby.
