We’ve been asking our grads who are working on films, albums, video games, live tours, and more what they’ve been inspired by, and thought we’d ask our faculty members right here on campus what they’re currently enjoying, too.
Grover Austin, the Film Department’s Course Director for Advanced Lighting, told us about a recent movie he saw in theaters.
“Has anyone seen Trouble with the Curve? It’s the new Clint Eastwood and Amy Adams movie. I thought it was brilliant, heartwarming, and very entertaining. It already has my vote to be nominated for Best Picture. Eastwood plays an aging baseball scout and Amy Adams plays his estranged daughter. It’s an excellent example of a movie with a subplot that’s as interesting as the plot. I don’t want to give anything away, but I do want to know what others think about it. If you haven’t seen it, please do so, and let me know what you think!”
